Vice President for Membership

The position of vice president for membership is responsible for increasing the member base of GA United.  It requires a significant commitment of time and effort.
This position has assistantship possibilities as determined by the Stewards Council.
Responsibilities are outlined below.

• Assumes the powers and duties of the President in the President’s absence or inability to serve
• Succeeds to the Presidency pursuant the Bylaws
• Assumes responsibilities and tasks  as may be assigned by the President
• Serves as Chair of the Membership Committee
• Recruits activists to sit on Membership Committee
• Informs potential membership of the policies, programs and accomplishments of the local, state and national organizations
• Organizes and conducts membership drives
• Develops (with VP for Communication) promotional material for membership recruitment purposes
• Serves as advisor to Steward Council
• Recruits members and operate in manner which builds organizational capacity
• Identifies and engages potential leaders
