GAUnited is THE union for graduate assistants at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The union gained exclusive bargaining rights on September 13, 2006. GA United represents ALL graduate assistants at SIUC- research,teaching, administrative (non-academic) and graduate employees with assistantships of any other title. We believe that graduate students must stand together on issues that affect their working environment. We are committed to improving teaching, research, and learning conditions at SIUC. We are concerned about the rising cost of education at SIUC, particularly skyrocketing fees.
